MARCO ISLAND MICRO WEDDING ON A YACHT
Jade and Tristin’s micro wedding was a dream come true for both of them (and us, honestly). They were such a laid back couple, and just wanted a weekend to celebrate their love with their closest people. Jade might look a little familiar because we also did her bridal shower! We can’t wait to share more about Jade & Tristin and their perfect day!
Jade & Tristin live in the backwoods of Colorado, but love Florida. So they wanted to have their micro wedding in Florida. We were all for the warmth of Florida in January, over the freezing weather of Colorado! They live a more rustic lifestyle, but wanted to go super elegant & modern for their micro wedding. Their guest list was small (a total of 11 people) to be able to go all out for their dream wedding. They spent the whole week in Florida with their favorite people just celebrating their love, and ended the week with this stunning wedding on a yacht! Let’s dig in to the details of their micro wedding on a yacht and how we brought their perfect day to life.
JADE & TRISTIN’S PERFECT DAY
For Jade & Tristin’s perfect day, they wanted to keep it really simple but ultra elegant and classic. They wanted to say “I do!” on a boat with gorgeous flowers & table settings and have a delicious meal with their favorite people after. They didn’t want any signage or extra ins and outs. So we kept everything minimal, elegant and classic. From the flowers lining the front of the yacht to the tablescapes it was all exactly what they wanted for their day. For dessert, each guest got an individual cake and they were so frickin’ cute! Seriously, scroll down to the gallery and look at them right now, they were the cutest, little individual cakes.
What we really loved about this wedding on a yacht was that it was a micro wedding. While micro weddings are starting to make their way into today’s trends, we’ve always loved them. You can go all out in the design for your day and still keep it in a smaller budget. Take Jade & Tristin for example. Their micro wedding was epic! They rented a yacht and had stunning decor and food for their wedding.
Because there was a total of 11 people on the boat, they could go all out on all the things without spending thousands of dollars to duplicate it for 200 people. So for those of you who have big dreams for your wedding day, but a smaller budget, consider a micro wedding. We promise you’ll love it, and with the right team on your side you can make it just as epic! Jade & Tristin had a “we just got married” party when they came back, so they still got to celebrate with all their friends, but also got to have the epic wedding of their dreams.
Okay, let’s chat about one of our favorite details of the day, Jade’s dress chain. It was stupid cute! If you look at the photo above you’ll see it just above the back of her dress. It was super simple with her new last name, but it was such a statement piece and literally the cutest thing ever. (P.S. She got it off Etsy, so if you’re thinking you may need one for your wedding, head over there!) Something that really brought their day back to their roots, was Jade’s gift to Tristin. Like we said, they live in the backwoods of Colorado so they do a lot of hunting, fishing and outdoorsy activities. She got him an engraved gun that said “Till death do us part”. We loved the personalization & sentimental touch of the gift as well as bringing it full circle to make the day perfectly represent them.
